The Lillie' Friend's "Got Friends?" 5k Run/Walk will be held at the scenic Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC. Starting and finishing at the Tanglewood Steeplechase Field, the course will wind through the beautiful tree-lined canopy of Tanglewood Park. In the spirit of Easter, you will come to a point along the course where you will be given a surprise that you will need to carry to the finish line. Fun and unique entertainment along the way makes your run fun and different than any other race.
The Kids "Chase the Hare" Fun Run (from 15 yards to 200 yards) is designed for children from six months old to 9 years of age and is a part of the Lillie's Friends Children's Festival which will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the same location. Last year's Children's Festival drew over 1,000 participants and we are excited about the addition of the 5k Run/Walk and Kids "Chase the Hare" Fun Run to this year's event.
Tanglewood is just a few miles west of Winston-Salem at Exit 180 (Harper Road) along Interstate 40 in Clemmons.
Early packet pick up will take place on Friday, April 2nd at Fleet Sports in Winston-Salem between 4 pm-7 pm. Race day packet pick up begins at 7:30 am at the Tanglewood Steeplechase Area:
- 9:00 am - 5k Run\Walk
- 10:30 am - "Chase the Hare" Children’s’ Fun Run
- 10:30 am - 5k Awards Ceremony
Pre-Register by March 24, 2010 - $20
After March 24th - $25
There is no charge for the "Chase the Hare" Children’s Fun Run or the Children’s Festival
PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH CAR ENTERING TANGLEWOOD FOR THE 5K AND FESTIVAL WILL BE CHARGED A $3 USAGE/PARKING FEE. THIS IS IN ADDTION TO THE REGISTRATION FEE FOR THE 5K RUN/WALK.

You may also register the day of the race between 7:30 am and 8:45 am or at Fleet Sports on Friday April 2nd between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
Registration for the “Chase the Hare" Children’s’ Fun Run will take place the day of the race.
Pre-registrations must be received at Lillie’s Friends Foundation by April 2, 2010. Entry fees are non-refundable. Unclaimed packets will not be mailed to entrants.
The first 300 registrants for the 5k Run/Walk are guaranteed a custom designed Champion Double Dry T-shirt. We will do our best to accommodate size requests for the T-shirt.
